My Coaching Environment

As a certified high school physical education teacher and strength and conditioning coach, my focus is on creating a supportive, structured environment where students can grow both personally and athletically. I am committed to fostering a positive, safe, and empowering learning atmosphere that encourages students to push beyond their limits. My teaching philosophy centers on not just imparting knowledge, but also instilling lifelong skills and values that will help students succeed as future leaders, professionals, and community members.

One of the most fulfilling parts of my role as a teacher and coach is engaging with the broader community through sports. I believe that athletics connect students to their community through shared experiences of competition and growth. I emphasize the importance of representing the school and community with integrity and pride, while also fostering strong family support. I maintain open communication with parents to ensure their children are safe and cared for in my program. As a mentor, I guide athletes in both their athletic and personal development.

In my coaching, I focus on building teamwork, discipline, and resilience. Whether in football or the weight room, I emphasize that small victories and consistent effort lead to greater success. My goal is to develop leadership, self-confidence, and accountability in my athletes—traits that are as valuable off the field as they are on it. By fostering mutual respect and dedication, I create a team culture centered on growth and resilience, with life lessons through teamwork taking priority over short-term wins.

In my role as a coach and educator, I collaborate closely with school administration to align my teaching and coaching with the broader goals of the school. I provide feedback on curriculum and athletic programs to ensure we meet the holistic needs of our students. Additionally, I advocate for student resources and support, striving to enhance both their academic and athletic experiences.
